now you will stay up to date with all the 'goings-on' at the lamb inn. first name email subscribe happy customers. christmas day was amazed to get a late availability (on christmas eve) for christmas day lunch. telephone booking dealt with in a lovely friendly manner which really lifted expectations of something good awaiting us. the welcome from the new owners, angie and leo was more like a meeting of friends than of a business/customer greeting and it became clear from the outset that these are people with a natural flair for making customers feel welcome. they willingly volunteered the information that they have only been there eight weeks and are still finding their way in various respects and had sensibly decided to not go for a full house on christmas day. i can`t help admiring a policy of keeping it small in order to get it right rather than to go for greed beyond capabilities and ruin diner’s expectations – as many places probably would. newly redecorated inside and out with the restaurant area having nicely presented festive tablecloth style and a nice, informal atmosphere with the owners being hands on and always around. the food was lovely. nicely presented, generous portions, properly cooked and very tasty. starters and desserts were great but the main course took the traditional pub roast to another level. my wife had lamb and i had turkey but we swapped a little so that we could try both and had to agree that it was really very good and in a different league to most places. to have got off to such a good start is to their credit and i don`t think it will be long before their collective abilities make this a sought after place to go to for good food. i can see sunday lunchtimes becoming very busy here. neil g new management, new menu, brilliant pub food we visited the lamb with friends a year ago and were very disappointed, visited yesterday with the same friends after being told new management had taken it over 7 weeks ago and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. we all had different main meals, all delicious and very generous portions, unfortunately too full to enjoy their homemade puds! all in all we had a very warm welcome from leo & angie and they were very attentive and looked after us well which was very much appreciated. good luck to you bot
